Plazzo Love!

Jeans and pajamas cannot be considered as the most comfortable form of pants now that palazzos are trending big time this season. What better way to beat the heat than by sporting some uber chic and highly complacent palazzo pants in various, unique ways!

Go Solid!
Colour block your favourite pair of palazzos with a solid coloured top. Neutral shades are safe and easy but you could totally style yourself with an edgy approach by going in for bold, bright colours.

Crop Tops- How to?

While you may think this is a tricky or risqué trend to pull off,  here are multitude of ways to rock this trend. Since crop tops are so versatile, every girl can find a way to sport one in a way that’s comfortable for her!

1. Wear it with a circle skirt
A circle skirt is fun and flirty—perfect for spring! A tight, long-sleeve crop top is a good contrast to the flowy skirt because circle skirts often show a bit of skin. This style also looks great with a shirt with a higher neckline because of the contrast in lengths.
2. Try it with a bandage skirt
Bandage skirts are gorgeous and sexy, and they’re all the more amazing when worn with a crop top. Because both items are on the tighter side, it’s best to only show a sliver of your midriff so you’re not overexposed.
3. Match it with a midi skirt
Midi skirts are another huge trend for spring 2014, as showcased by designers such as Rebecca Minkoff during Fashion Week. The shin-length skirts may seem conservative, but matching one with a fun crop top makes the look modern and young.
4. Be business-ready in a blazer
Add some contemporary edge to a typical work outfit by wearing a crop top with your blazer. When you wear a crop top with high-waisted, tailored pants, you’ll be the most fashion-forward person in the office. This look is best in a more laid-back office, but it can also be worn to a nicer dinner.
5. Make it flirty in a maxi skirt
A fun, patterned maxi skirt is a must-have for this spring and summer. Paired with a solid-colored crop top, it’s an easy look to dress up or down. Adding statement jewelry to this look will instantly dress it up.
6.  Add a Statement Necklace
Adding a statement necklace to a crop top makes the look stylish and effortless. A statement necklace instantly glams up a look; it’s an easy way to take a crop top from day to night. It can be worn with a shirt with a high neckline or even with a simple cropped tank for some more dimension.
7. Wear it with high-waisted shorts
High-waisted shorts are one of the easiest looks for spring and summer. When you pair high-waisted shorts with a crop top, you’ll be both music-festival- and beach-ready. Denim shorts are a classic look, but you could also try a printed pair that’s perfect for warm weather.
8. Flaunt it in a peplum pant
Peplum pants are a unique fashion choice that not many collegiettes may have in their closet. However, these pants are a super-chic style that’s perfect for a summer cocktail party or a nice dinner. The peplum adds some shape to the look and breaks up the top and bottom of the outfit.
9. Prep it up with tailored shorts
This J.Crew-esque look is perfect for a summer at your favorite beach club or getaway. A crisp, white, boxy crop top paired with pastel shorts and white brogues is an effortless way to add a prep-school twist to a crop top.
10. Under overalls
Flash some skin with a pair of overall shorts. Wearing a simple T-shirt crop top under overalls adds a feminine edge to the look. The overalls don’t necessarily have to be the traditional denim ones—you could try ones in a lot of different materials and patterns.
11. With your favorite boyfriend jeans
Looking for a way to amp up your favorite slouchy denim look? Wear it with a cropped chiffon blouse that ties in the front so you have control over how much midriff you show. It’s a comfortable, relaxed look that’s still feminine and put-together.
12. Be chic in palazzo pants
Palazzo pants are comfortable, flowy and versatile, and they’re complemented amazingly by a crop top. Try a bustier top to take the chic pants to a new level.
13. Add some flair with flannel
Wearing a neutral crop top under your favorite big flannel shirt will give your look a totally chill vibe. This is a cute look for those cool summer nights when your daytime crop top isn’t warm enough.
14. Throw it on over a dress
Throw a loose, cropped tank over a bodycon dress. The contrast between the loose top and the tight dress underneath can have a super slimming effect. This look is also great for those who want to wear a bodycon dress but feel uncomfortable in something so tight.
15. Pair it with a pencil skirt
You might think your pencil skirt should only be reserved for the office, but think again! A patterned pencil skirt that hits at the knees and above the belly button can be a super chic look when paired with a crop top. Because you’ll be covered up below the waist, you can wear a riskier crop top, perhaps with some daring cutouts.
16. Match from top to bottom
A crop top and a skirt in a matching pattern is a cute look for spring. Try a bustier top with a pencil skirt to find that balance between conservative and modern.
17. Toss on a vest
Try throwing on a vest over your favorite crop top this spring. Adding a denim vest over a bustier top or tank crop top is an easy way to jazz up your outfit.
18. Layer it
Crop tops are great for layering, and one of the best looks is under a sheer top. A sheer top and a crop top can be daring choices on their own, but when put together, they create a more conservative and tasteful look. A tight crop top under a shirt like this is the perfect way to stay a little more covered up but still show some skin.
19. Glam it up
When done right, crop tops can even be formal attire! A gorgeous metallic top or an elegant black top can be sophisticated enough for a nice date or formal event. When you accessorize with the right jewelry, you’ll be ready for a night out.

Guide to pairing the perfect Necklaces!

So many necklines and so many necklaces... What to wear with what?

Lets do away with confusion now!

Halter neck with a Triangle Pendant
The halter neck is best paired with a triangle shaped pendant. If you look at the lines of the sides of a halter top, they go up toward your face in almost a triangle shape. So I like to offset this with a triangle shaped necklace pointing down from your face for the perfect balance.

Crew Neckline with a Bib or Collar Necklace
The crew neckline is the most unassuming neckline. Pair this with a bib or collar because the curved neckline helps support and enhance the shape of rounder necklaces.

Tube Top with Choker
Keep things minimal by pairing your tube top with a simple choker. The straight line cut of the tube top is perfect for showing off the simplicity of your choker and also helps to elongate your neckline!

Button up with statement necklace
Pairing button-ups with a statement necklace is one of my favorite pairings. I love how the statement necklace comes out from under the collar as though its almost one piece. It’s the perfect combination of subtle and statement!

Turtleneck with a Long Chain
Now that Fall is coming, I expect to see a lot more of this pairing. It’s simple and elegant, and this is also one of the pairings that helps elongate your neck in a sophisticated and understated way.

Square neckline with Angular Necklace
A square neckline is one of the hardest necklines to pair because there are so many hard lines going on. But for this reason, it’s perfect for bringing out the shape of an angular necklace.

V-neck with Slim Pendant
This pairing is simple and sweet. I love pairing a V-neck with a simple slim pendant for a classy and understated look. Less is more in this case.

How to Rip Your Jeans

Acquiring an awesome pair of ripped jeans can be expensive -- unless you know how to make them yourself. It may require a little patience, but following these directions you'll find that the process of making ripped jeans is actually quite simple.

1
Choose a pair of jeans. You can rip any pair of jeans and get the same results, but make sure to choose a pair that fit you well. Don’t feel obligated to rip a pair of jeans you already own, as you can thrift for comfortable, cheap jeans at local secondhand and consignment shops.
  • Using jeans that are already worn a bit may give you better results than using brand new jeans, but don’t let that stop you from purchasing a new pair for this project.
  • Light to medium wash jeans typically look the best when ripped, as their color lends them a more distressed look. Dark washed jeans look too freshly dyed to be ripped, and might not look as “realistic.

Decide on a style. You know you want ripped jeans, but how exactly do you want them ripped? Go to some of your favourite stores or research online to choose what style of wear and tear you want your jeans to have. Gentle fraying? Massive holes? Lots of holes or just a few? Decide what you want before you start the project.

3
Gather your supplies. Based on the different styles you wish you create, you will need to use different materials. To create a worn look, use steel wool, sandpaper, and a pumice stone. If you want to create large holes, you will need to use scissors, knife or box cutter as well. Use a small block of wood to insert into the pant legs while you do the distressing, so that you don’t alter both the front and the back of the pants.

Decide where to rip. Lay your jeans out flat on a table, and use a pencil to mark the places you want to tear. Use a ruler to mark an exact length if you want. Keep in mind the ultimate shape and the length as well as the width of your holes.

Distress the jeans. Place the small block of wood into your pant leg, directly underneath the place you intend to distress. Then, use your abrasive tools to rub at the jeans until they begin to thin and fray. Alternate between using steel wool, sandpaper, and your pumice stone. This may take a bit of time depending on the thickness of your jeans to start.

6
Loosen the fibers. If you don’t want to create gaping holes, but rather stringy patches in your jeans, use an x-acto knife to gently tug at the area that you have just distressed. This will loosen fibers in the area, allowing for a little skin to show through when worn. Pull at the white threads that stick out from the jeans to encourage this look.

7
Add holes. Take your scissors and cut a small section inside the distressed area. Then, use your hands to rip the jeans even further. Avoid cutting the hole too much, as this will give a very clean, unnatural edge to the fabric. Ripping it will tear the fibers, making it look like a real hole. Tug at the threads to pull them out a bit, as they would with natural rips.

Reinforce your jeans. To keep the holes from growing as a result of frequent wearing and washing, reinforce them by sewing around the perimeter of the hole. Use either a white or jean-colored thread to sew around, either by hand or with a sewing machine.
